The top of the desk is covered with black leather that has a stamped golden pattern.
Some of the drawers and wooden part of the top have been refinished with sand paper as can be seen on the pictures.
This roll top desk was given to me by a friends. It belonged to her grandfather, but I don't know
how long he owned it for. It's all oak..very heavy and very beautiful. It's in great condition.
The desk reads Sligh Lowry Holland Michigan in the the top drawer. I Believe that the stamp on the bottem of that drawer says FEB 1966. That time line matches with the history of the sligh lowry furniture company. The desk has a black and gold one piece leather top. The hardware is all original. It has aged well.
I'm just looking to see if anyone might reconize this desk & maybe tell me a price?
