This is a wooden chaple that when you open it it has Mother Mary holding baby Jesus and it winds up in the back so when it opens it plays Come all Ye Faithfull.
This is a hand-shaped ring holder that I'm guessing is porcelain but is not glazed. It is 4" tall and has pearl-like beads and lace like material on the wrist. According to letters passed down through the family, it was bought in 1848 in New York City. I am posting this for my mother and am using pictures she took. There is a makers mark on the bottom, but in these pictures its hard to decipher. She had a jeweler magnify and sketch out the marks and such on the bottom. She's curious of any information on this item.
This China cabinet was purchased in either the late 1970's or very early 1980's from Plunket's Furniture in Chicago. It is lighted and has two glass shelves in each section.
Also, how do I upload a file larger than the stated 2mb. I have an oriental silk screen that I am also interested in getting an appraisal for.
This is a chest of drawers that I got. It is made by the Kling manufacturing company. The back stamp shows that it is from the 400 series. I bought this chest with a bedroom suite. It was originally a bed, dresser and mirror, 2 nightstands, and chest of drawers; but I did not get the nightstands. The set I did get matches, and according to the back of the dresser, it was made in 1939. After getting this chest of drawers, I realized that one shelf had hinges on the side of it and I found a latch on it. I knew that it had the pigeon holes, but I also found out that it is apparently a secretary. I was wondering if anybody knows any more about this piece? (i.e. were many made like this and how much it might be worth? I have been searching online for several hours, and though I found a few chest of drawers that looked almost identical, none of them had the secretary built into it.) Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
