New Travis Court Collection

Category
Furniture
Description

This is a beautiful Drexel China Cabinet. Made iby Drexel in 1952. It has incredibly beautiful woodgrain and is made of imported cherry red mahogony. The dovetail joint drawers have brass pulls, as do the doors. The front is bowed out with a curved glass door. The piece is in excellent condition with a few nicks and dents from normal use, bearing in mind this is a vintage piece, not a brand new piece of furniture. This wonderful piece measures 69-3/4" tall by 48-1/2" wide by 15-1/2" deep. Weighs app. 125 pounds.

We also have the matching sideboard both are in exceptional condition

German Ceramic Fruit Dish

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Mint
Description

This dish was given to my parents-in-law in Stutensee, Baden-Württemberg, Germany (close to Karlsruhe) as a wedding present approx. 1945.

It is 34 cm / 13.5 in. diameter and 10 cm / 4 in. high.  It has a raised decor with grapes, grape leaves, and vines.  The glaze color is basically brown with beige and a light turquoise.  The decor is orange, blue and light turquoise.  It has three feet with holes in them, showing that the inside is hollow.  "1895" is stamped on the bottom (indented) and there are two brown marks , like little check marks, burned in the ceramic.

The piece is flawless.

Walnut fire surround

Category
European Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I Have a walnut fire surround that i bought 20years ago purely from an asthetics point and was perfect for the focal point in the room but i am now down-sizing and do not have room for it any more. I know nothing about it other than it was a commissioned piece. What i want to find out is what period it is from and a rough price guide as the new buyers of my house don't wish to keep it as they are going for a modern contemporary approach and i therefore need to find it a new home without gig=ving it away for peanuts! hopefully someone will be able to help me out with my query.

Glassware and Crystal
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have a set of 8 glasses in 4 different sizes. They are crystal, thick glass with a silver rimmed that has an etched design. There is no signiture or numbers of any kind...The Dorothy Thorpe has some very similar but no etching in the silver rim. I got these from my grand dad about 15 years ago..I am very curious of the maker and an approximate value .
