will add pics on 7/17/08. I am looking to see if anyone knows the value of this item or items like this. Any information would be a great help. thank you
This was given to me by my deceased aunt...she traveled all over the world...We know that she had visited Siam back in the 40's.. We also have 2 framed peices of oriental art (pictures). I can not make out the markings on the clasp with the naked eye but it is visible. This is a heavy bracelet so I believe it is real gold. Please let me know if any one has seen this before or can tell me more about what I have here. What is it worth???
I found this cup and saucer set in Copper Harbor, an extremely small town in the upper peninsula of Michigan with year-round population of about 80. I have no idea how old it is, I just saw it and I liked it. The filigree is extremely intricate, and the mark on the bottom is in blue, which generally means it is older. The image appears to be two people either having a pick-nick or putting things in baskets. I can't tell...pictures are below
I found this item in an antique store in Salt Lake City. Torch and portion of scroll were apparently replaced at a later date but are a good match (altho patina is different, of course.) Have really enjoyed the piece, but moving overseas.
