Description

15 piece Satsuma China Tea Service

Tea Pot with top

Sugar with top

Creamer

6 cups and saucers

This set was a wedding gift to my grandmother in 1914 from General William Sibert.  He brought it back from China where he was working for a number of months.  Whether the set is Chinese or Japanese I do not know.  (He may have stopped in Japan also.)  The set has remained in its original specially made box all these years and was given to me in the 1990's.  My grandmother referred to it as Satsuma.

I would like to know the maker, the time period of its manufacture, and its current value.

Thanks so much.
