Description
I am seeking an appraisal for an amazing Early 1800's mahogany Secretary that I wanted to take to the antiques roadshow tour here in KC this summer. It was owned by a Kansas City Socialite who had connections to MANY of the past founders of Kansas City. A complete catalog of city leaders she met and their newspaper clippings and personal correspondence They shared. Plus much more. This gorgeous piece is over 7 foot tall has never been refinished even has the original green felt In the desk. Handmade beautiful details and a style that is classic and not too busy. Take a look and let me know if you have a idea!
It is solid woods, tongue and groove construction.

Re: 1800's Mahogany Drop front secretary Classic Beauty..
This piece actually dates about 1870, it looks more like walnut than mahogany. $1500-1800.00 is about what they go for at auction these days.
