1832 Blue and white double-woven Jacquard coverlet by David D. Haring

Description

Was from an ancestor of mine, its almost idential twin (same date, different initials) is at the Museum of Natural History. Just figured out what is was through some online searching. My grandmother used to display it in her foyer. Has some damage.

Was made for my 3rd great grandparents, Jacob and Effie Ferdon (JEFD intials on the coverlet). Effie's maiden name was Blauvelt, and her sister Rachel had one too (American Quilts & Coverlets in the Metropolitan Museum of Art)
