I inherited this violin from my dad. It has writing in the inside that has "J N Star..April 22, 1893..Jacobs Ranch..County, Cal...it has what looks like a carving of a lions head....I couldn't quite make out all of the letters of the county in CA....it started with "Yoa" from what I can make out.
