Description The piece seems to have similar features as another one I was able to find (different dimensions, but same Lettering, feet, emblems, etc). That piece was from 1903. I have not been able to find any other cabinets that match the style or detail. La Corona Company was one of the premier cigat manufacturers in Cuba in the early 1900's and was housed in a factory of the same name (La Corona). It was the first factory to use steel instead of wood as the main material. The varying sizes of the shelves make me wonder if this was used to hold molds of various dimensions, however I am not 100% sure. The unit still has the original key and the lock mechanism is fully functional.
