Description

This box was purchased in Jaoan in 1944 -1945 near Kyoto by owner who worked for General MacAruthor at the time like to get appraisal of value. Box has lock on it.  No key. Any suggestion on how to unlock

This style of lock seems to have a standard type of key, based on size, I noticed, like a skeleton key. I have met some dealers with hundreds of this style of key in boxes or strung together. You could seek this situation and try your luck. I found a key matched and opened a similar lock. Good luck.

These were made until quite recently and sold through Import Export/Decorator outlets. I bought one a while ago for $45.00.
