Actually they look more like white jade than soapstone, and pretty good quality at that. The brass bases look to be from the late 1920's, the last ones that I saw go at auction went for about $350.00.

We meet again! I thought jade but when I asked someone who I 'thought' was in the know, I was told soapstone. I wish I could find someone such as you in real time so I could get an accurate sense of what I have!
