2 Gerz 5" Stein

By mybobby, 6 May, 2010
Description

I recently purchased (2) 5" high 1/5L Gerz steins. I know it's Gerz because I have been trying to find anything about them. So far, that's all I have. They have the pewter top and the colors are blue, red or brown and green. I don't have a camera so I cant send you a picture. There is a saying on the front in German but as I have been finding out that is of no importance. On the bottom of each stein it has the classic triangle with a stein in the center of it but below the triangle is the numbers 899. Also on the bottom handwritten in black ink is "Germany". Not sure if that means anything. The triangle and numbers are pressed into the ceramic but the word is handwritten. The word is a little more faded on the one. I only purchased them because they caught my eye and I have never seen them so small. They are really neat!! if it is at all possible from the description and markings could you posibly tell me the age of them and value? I just donw know where else to look to find any information. I dont want to sell them I would just like to have information about them. Age and Value.

Thank you very much for your time,

mybobby
