200 year old Kabuki statue

Description

Bought in japan by my family.  200years old.  Kabuki opera statue of Benkai.  If there were any marks they have worn over time.  Not too much else is known about the statue.

Without a provenance dating is uncertain. It's an interesting carving. Benkai lived from 1155-1189. A famous warrior monk of the period. I'd say $300-$500 and possibly more.
