Alligator purse

Just looking to find out any information about this purse.  It is made from the whole skin of a small alligator, as well as other pieces of alligator skin.  It was given to me by my great-grandmother, and was bought by my great-grandfather in Florida many years ago.  It did have a strap at one point, but it is now missing.  Some of the thread has come lose, and the small alligator body is somewhat detached.  Just curious whether it is a cheap Florida tourist shop buy, or something of value.  Thanks!
