It dates from the turn of the 19th century, the hardware on it has design motifs used on Art Nouveau style furniture made circa 1900. Furniture like this was very popular during the 1980's, along with the trend for Victorian decorating. Demand for pieces like this has been in decline since then, we'd retail a comparable in good shape in the $450,00 $550.00 range.
