Description

VERY UNUSUAL CIGAR COLLECTION THAT WAS EXHIBITED AT THE 1914 PHILIPPINE EXPOSITION (WORLD'S FAIR) IN WHICH IT WAS A GOLD MEDAL WINNER (AND THE RIBBON IS PART OF THE COLLECTION), AND IT WAS THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER AT THE ST. LOUIS EXPOSITION OF 1904 (ALSO THE RIBBON IS PART OF THE COLLECTION). IT IS A VARIETY OF CIGARS THAT ARE OVER 100 YEARS OLD. YES, IT'S ANTIQUE AND THE DISPLAY, RIBBONS AND THE CIGARS ARE IN ROUGH SHAPE. THE CIGARS ARE DRY, THE DISPLAY IS BATTERED, BUT IT CAN BE RESTORED AND IS QUITE THE CONVERSATION PIECE. I'M CERTAIN IT'S ONE OF A KIND AND IT'S ESPECIALLY INTERESTING AS A DISPLAY BECAUSE OF THE TWO WORLD EXPOSITIONS RIBBONS THAT ARE PART OF THE TOTAL DISPLAY. IT IS A FLAT PANEL DISPLAY WITH DOORS THAT OPEN. AGAIN......THE WHOLE THING NEEDS SOME TENDER LOVING CARE. IT SHOULD PROBABLY BE IN A MUSEUM OR SOME KIND OF CIGAR SMOKERS DISPLAY AREA. FIX IT UP AND IT WOULD BE VERY COOL. IT'S 28" x 30" x 2" deep. When the doors are opened for display, it's 4'6" wide. VERY UNUSUAL AND RARE. AGAIN.......IT NEEDS A LOT OF WORK, BUT THE FUNDAMENTALS AND THE RARITY OF IT MAKE IT A REAL COLLECTOR'S ITEM.
