C.W.S is a short form for "Co-Operative Wholesale Society" which operated in Pelaw, England, from the Victorian era through the 1950's . Cabinets like this were mass produced, most in North America were shipped here in container loads by Antique dealers from the 1980's onwards to fill demand for larger cabinets. Values for them has slipped a great deal in recent years, most like this now start at about $150.00 and top out at about $650.00., most sell for under $250.00
