antique desk

Description

beautifull desk,very deep(3ft)made by the jasper office furniture company out of indiana. the left side drawers are fake, there actualy one big door and behind the door is a large heavy duty shelf that slides out and is supported by a very strong looking mechanism. there are no broken pieces, just a couple of bumps and bruises, needs to be cleaned up and possibly refinished.

I also have a desk ALMOST identical to this. Mine was made by Wood Office Institute-can't find out much about them. Did you know the shelf on the left raises? It is actually a type writer shelf. If you pull out and up it will raise- mine locks in place with a latch to the cabinet door.
