This is a nice Victorian Piece dating Circa 1875, with Elements of the Eastlake style which was popular at that time. Demand for Victorian furniture like this last peaked in the late 1980's and has been in decline since that time, one like this would have sold in the 1980's for over $600.00 at auction, but now about $250.00.
