ANTIQUE EARLY STEIFF TEDDY BEAR

This teddy bear was purchased as a gift for my Grandmother who was then two years old (1904).
She apparently took very good care of it as a child as it is in excellent shape. In approximately 1999, this bear was given to my daughter (then 19 years old) as a gift. I have taken care of it since then. It has been wrapped in a cotton pillow case and stored in a shoe box and kept in a closet in my home.
This bear does not have a metal Steiff button in its ear however I have found this bear is listed in a Steiff catalog and feel confident that it is an early Steiff bear.
