Description
These chairs are beautiful, they are all (4) hand carved dining chairs. the head rest has a lion's head, they also have barley twist on the side and legs, the 2 front legs have caster.
I would like to find the value, since they do need a bit (minor) repair. The back of a couple of chairs is loose, needs readjusting. they were professionally reupholstered approx.5 years ago.

Its similar to blackforest carving design. check similar appraisser on the same subject. i hope it helps.

It's absolutely NOt Black Forest german style of carving. American carving and american wood. Late victorian period most likley, or later.
