Description My mom bought this item from an estate sale, so no other details about it. It has small casters on all legs. Different patterns of carvings on different areas of the wood frame. Material is a red velvet. The seat can be folded forward and laid out as a bed. Material inside is striped. There are a metal latches that can be pulled down on the side to support it. The casters don't seem that old to me, so I'm thinking it's a fairly recent (circa 1900s?) replica of an older piece. Any help is appreciated, though.

It's late "Eastlake" style about 1885-90. No big demand for furniture like this currently, the demand for Victoriain furniture last peaked in the 1990's and has been in big decline since then. Most comparabl pieces go at auction for under $150.00
