Antique Ming? Vase with Bodiless warriors

Greetings. My brother and I received this rather odd but most intriguing vase as payment for some work we did for a neighbor. Unfortunately a language barrier prevented us from learning much about it... We have researched for over a month, online, library etc but have missed the mark, so far. A lot of almosts, but not quite. Thank you fir looking and hopefully answering if this is something we should further look into.
