Re: Antique sofa - came from Texas hotel demolition in 1950s
It was an expensive piece of furniture in it's day, it probably dates from the 1920's and is in the Colonial Revival style, patterned after Queen Anne and chippendale pieces made during the 18th century. It's probably been recovered several times, as good pieces tend to be. Value wise it's hard to say, the current market being what it is. Here's a link to comparable pieces sold at auction:
