Tin in painted in 2 different shades of green, white. gold trim. Lid-The Public Benefit Boot Company, Branches everywhere, Three gold medals,awarded, 1 states BUY, 2nd BENEFIT, 3rd BOOTS. Below this Comfort, Consistency, Cheapness. Two pillars each side with names of Branches. Sides Boots, BENEFIT Brand, Shoes. Front & back, Trademark: "Benefit" proprietors & manufacturers left side, Reg. Telegraphic Address, Benefit. Leeds., National Telephone 1816. Picture of Head Offices & Warehouse, St Pauls St. Leeds. Tin inside, bottom, all trimed in gold. Container made in England stamped on bottom.
