Hump topped trunks like thisā¦
Hump topped trunks like this tend to date from the last quarter of the 19th Century, values for them depend mainly on condition and level of decoration. Most comparables to yours often sell at auction for less than $100.00 "In the rough" . Restored trunks are far more marketable, restoring this trunk will not negatively effect its value as restored examples can retail for three times the value listed above, but the market for them is not currently very strong.
