Antique Trunk

Description

This is a trunk given to me from my grandmother. I know nothing about it except for the few markings showed in the pictures. It is 32 inches wide x  21 3/8 inches high x 18 5/8 deep. Any information would be very helpful thanks!

On the latch there are markings PATJUL972. on all of the other metal pieces on the lid there are markings but i cannot tell what they are.
