Description

This was my dads lantern. It's 7" tall It was made in England and has its makers name stamped on the bottom. Too hard to read it though. The name has 9 or 10 letters liddinett or something along those lines. It has  registration numbers and patent number stamped on both pieces.  I think it's made of tin it has a hinged window. It has a wick in it.

i sure would like to know more about it. Can you help?

thank you!

Just a suggestion. But considering that there is very little paint left on this item (and I don't think it was originally painted anyway), just remove the paint from it, this will allow you to get a better view of the information. It is clear the information is cut into the tin, and therefor would be easily viewable with the paint removed.
