this is a walnut table with 3 pegged feet (no nails) all hand carved. there are 3 different pieces of wood on top (not just 1) of table. each piece of carving is very precised. there appears to be a couple of layers of wood on top. the carving design is one i've never seen. i heard it was in 1800s' & i was offered $450.00 dor the table in 1982. i don't know where the person got it to start with, but it was also painted buttermilk white & green. looked very bad. i had it restored to look as in pics. noone seems to know what kind, or value this walnut table has. I was also told. the table would have taken an experienced woodmaker at least 1000 hrs. to have made this table.
