Description

We received this from an elderly lady whose home my husband was doing some work on a few years ago. She had a huge house with some really old antique furniture. She heard that we had lost everything we owned (with no insurance) in the Oklahoma wild fire a few months before. She knew my husband thought this was beautiful. She gave it to him (she had an overabundance of furniture) but said that she really didn't know alot about it. It was one of her husband's favorites & they had it in their livingroom for years, so she said it has some wear & tear a few places.. We put it in storage, & recently got a nice enough place of our own, to which itll fit in.

It is a HEAVY monster! My husband has a 56in chest, works in construction/remodeling, & everyone says hes even stronger than what he looks - it took him + 2 coworkers +me to get it here! The drawers are even heavy.

Any info you might be able to tell me about this armoire (manufacturer, est age, est worth if it was new, style, wood, ANYTHING)? It is EXTREMELY heavy. Dimensions are 40x81.5x17. The backboard is NOT particle board (&is solid/thick too), however not sure if exact same as the rest.

Ive done hours of searching online, but, embarrassingly, its all greek to me. I am just curious if it was ever high $, if its an antique, or any thing that I can use to find more info about it.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
