A long narrow oval basket, in the shape of an olive dish, tiny beading all around the upper rim, 9 inches long but only 2 inches high. The elaborate leafy handle is rigid (doesn't fold down), and adds another 3.5 inches to the height. Four lion paw feet with acanthus leaves leading from the feet up the side of the basket. Heavily tarnished. What was this used for, sugar cubes, or is it an olive dish? Does the pattern number indicate it was made before International Silver took over the Barbour company?
