The metal "Bassett Furniture" logo is embeded into the wood of one of the drawers. My parents bought this piece from (what they believe to be) the original owner in 1978/79. We have seen a similar (but not exactly the same) China Cabinet that was dated 1960's on Ebay. There is a metal rack that slides out to hang cups. There is some minor wear and 2 tiny pieces of wood missing. The condition is practically perfect. The 2 glass panels are outlined in gold. I believe the wood is maple, however; it appears to be dark, red maple. There are 3 drawers. One is divided into 3 spaces, most likely for serving ware. There are 2 cabinets besides the drawers that are 14" deep. The cabinet to the left has a shelf that is 8" deep. The 2 top shelves behind the glass door are 11" deep. The bottom shelf is 11 1/4." The China Cabinet is 6 feet tall (72"), 51" wide, and 17 3/4" deep. I have not been able to find this China Cabinet on Craigslist or Ebay yet. There is detail found on this China Cabinet that seems to make it unique. Besides the gold outlining the two glass panels, there are carvings along the top and bottom of the China Cabinet. The carvings also appear along the two legs/feet in the front and run up the sides. The drawers and two side cabinets open smoothly. The glass door tends to stick on occasion and needs an extra tug to get it open. It is held closed by a magnet device that it came with.
