Description

I have a statue of a mermaid, which is bronze, made in Denmark, but I can't suss the maker's mark... I've attached a photo of the mark in the pics. Any background at least on the maker would be great. Approximate age and value would be a bonus! Thanks so much!

Distinguishing marks Maker's mark possibly on bottom but double stamped so hard to see. Definitely "DENMARK" is noted and "1498" which could be a date or perhaps an alloy designation?

Condition Excellent

Size and dimensions of this item 17 inches tall and 8 Inches wide

History This was left to me by my mother. It is probably 60+ years old.
