Description

I purchased this at a Goodwill store, and after doing a little research found that some of these banks can be pretty valuable, but I was unable to find a picture of mine exactly. The bank is in working order, all of the mechanisms seems to work as they are supposed to. The gun is cocked, a coin is placed on the barrel, and when a button is pushed the man "shoots" the coin into the tree, and a bear pops out of the top. I have several pictures from various angles below.

Your bank is a reproduction of a late 19th century example. These are still being made in China and elsewhere. The phillips screws used in this ones construction and the poor quality paint are a dead give away.

Lovejoy

As long as you sell it as a reproduction, you should still get your $25 bucks back. Originals can be thousands. I feel your pain...I have several Tiawan Uncle Sam's...didn't know that when I unpacked the 1st one from dad & we were so happy. Until I unpacked 3 more, & the last had the Tiawan sticker then, I knew): I've learned a lot since then & do have some original banks, too..
