Cat Statue Bronze or Unknown

Description

Cat mounted on marble slab, never has been off slab since its been in my ownership.  Cat is 24 inches long 11 1/2 inches tall.  I see no marking on slab or on cat.

My Apprasisal request

My main goal today is not much a apprasisal but to find out if this item looks like a bronze statue or does it look like it is something else and just by looking at it through the pics I attached does it look like anything of value.

It looks like bronze, but could also just be bronze plated base meatl such as spelter, impossible to tell without actually physically examining it.
