Re: cedar chest
Based on your serial # of 452060, your date should be- June 2, 1945 (or 1954) I am no expert, but everything I have read says you take the serial number and reverse the numbers, with the last 2 being the month, middle 2 being the day, and first 2 being the year, but I have heard both ways that the year should be reversed also, or that it shouldnt.
Re: cedar chest
This one dates from the 1950's, it's Moderne styled. Values for lane chests tend to be modest because they made m illions of them, of which most still survive in attics basements and spare bedrooms all over North America. Most like this often sell at auction for under $150.00.
