Chinese Vase?

By Emhe084, 16 January, 2021
Description

Thank you guys for being so kind and helpful! I unfortunately have no idea what this vase is, it's orgins or anything. We literally found it sitting somewhwere and decided it looked valuable and decided to keep it safe.

If anyone could provide me with any information on what it is, the value, and some direction on where to sell it, I would once again be incredibly grateful.

Re: Chinese Vase?

I need to do more research but the mark on your vase says “Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi” - which translates as "Great Qing Qianlong Period Make". This is an era within the "Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912) within which the Emperor Qianlong reigned from 1736-1795. That comes from here https://www.figurines-sculpture.com/puzzling-chinese-porcelainpottery-m… And it goes on to say that the chances of it being an authentic mark are close to zero. So yours is most likely not the real thing. Maybe start our search with Chinese vase with Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi mark and see what happens. Note, the pic you have with the mark is upside down.

Re: Chinese Vase?

Whoops. Sorry about that. But thank you for giving me a jumping off point. I saw your comment on my other post as well. Due to your kindness, I have an idea of what to do with the piles and piles of dishes we have found. I can't thank you enough!

Re: Chinese Vase?

Searching the eBay sold is always a good way to see what people are willing to pay. Not the same as yours but similar one being sold now on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/20th-century-Da-Qing-Qianlong-Nian-Zhi-mark-va… Maybe watch and see if it sales for that price.
