Corner Cabinet

Description

I inherited this cabinet 20+ years ago.  I was told it was made for a neighbor's wife.  I was also told it is cherry wood.  The back is plain wood, not stained, so it must be in a true corner.  It does have a spindel that goes in the middle of the top, but it broke off.  I do have it, it just hasn't been repaired.  I'm curious of what the value and history of it might be.  I was in SW Virginia when I inherited and I believe it is from that area or possibly WVa.

That cabinet is almost identical to one my grandpa had made for my grandmother, he only made 4 that I know of. If it is one of his there may be W.H engraved on the bottom and every nail hole would be puttied in perfectly
