Description

Cron-Kills Drop-front Desk

Very faded, barely-readable label-insignia on the back says: "This Article Manufactured by The CRON-KILLS & CO - PIQUA, OHIO". It likely dates to between 1890 and 1920, but the catalog and shipping numbers are totally illegible, so it's hard to say. Fair condition -- definitely lived-in. It is currently on casters, but needs repair to one leg.

History My mother bought a lot of antique furniture 30 or 40 years ago for our house in New Rochelle, NY --not sure how she came by it, but she was always on the lookout for bargains. In the time we've owned it, it has sometimes been useful, but a wounded leg has prevented it from really thriving in the practical world. It would require some treatment.
