dining room table 6 chairs and china cabinet

By shannon smith, 20 September, 2009
Description

China Cabinet is in great condition. It has 4 glass doors at the top with 2 adjustable shelves 3 total) that run the full lenght of the cabinet. Below that is 3 drawers, 2 shorter on the outside and 1 wider in the middle. Below that is 4 solid wood door conceiling 1 removable shelf in each side. The 2 doors on the left open, you have 2 shelves (base and one removable). Same with the right two doors.
The table is in good condition. The only worn area is the bottom of each leg. The chairs I cannot get a picture of but they are all in tact. The cushions are torn and tattered. There 6 total chairs, 4 reg. and 2 arm chairs.

I am attaching a picture of the top of the table, sorry, we do not have it set up yet,and a picture of the metal decor at the top of the legs. There is 3 pictures of the china cabint and do not have access to the chairs at this time.
Thanks for you help.

Re: dining room table 6 chairs and china cabinet

Can anyone give me an idea of what timeframe this might have come from and some type of value. We are not selling at this time mostly because of the sentimental value but I would love to know.

We have the chairs but I couldn't get a picture of them.

Thanks.

Re: dining room table 6 chairs and china cabinet

Based on the images this set is quite modern, J. B. Van Sciver Furniture Co. was a major national furniture manufacturer located in Camden, New Jersey from the 1880 through to the 1970s. It's unlikely this set predates the 1960's. Here is a link for you:
