drexel hutch

By pony4, 20 August, 2013
Description

Hi,

I need an appraisal of a drexel hutch/china cabinet, mid century, back-lighted glass shelves, iron latticework over glass on the doors.

it is 16.25" deep, 56" wide and a little over 82" tall.  I can't find anything like it, and have looked extensively--it is a beautiful peice, maybe custom made?

Its in excellent condition, only 2 minor nicks that could be fixed.  It is dirty in these old pics, and for some reason it is cutting the top off the hutch, which is its most prominent feature, its a beautiful sea shell like heavy wood ornation (is that a word?).

Thanks!

Re: drexel hutch

There is not a lot of demand for the Drexel stuff , it was produced in huge numbers, particularly in the 1970's-80's. We have trouble selling these larger pieces, even at $800.00.
