If the works are none functional the watch is worth about it's melt value for the gold case, which because the value of gold is currently so high it's not bad news ;~) Here's a link to gold conversion to determine melt value, just weight the case and plug in the numbers. http://www.silverrecyclers.com/Calculators/gold_calculator.aspx
