Lamps like this quite often are not actually brass or bronze but spelter. A white metal that is often painted or plated to resemble browse or bronze. It is a silver pewter color actually underneath the finish, which can often be seen on the base. These lamps are generally reproductions based on larger examples by famous artists and very often without their authorization. Sometimes changed in design just enough to not bring in a copyright or illegal challenge. Values these very tremendously, depending on local demand going anywhere from $50 to $300 at auction.
