Description
Good morning. My name is Paul Nixon and I purchased this bronze sculpture in 1988 in Mamaroneck New York. The sculpture weight 10 LBS and is 21" tall with its base being 6" by 5".  As a bronze sculptor myself and having done some homework. The sculpture appears to be made from three castings as  the sculptures base is assembled with the aid of rivets. The nude figure is attached to the tree and base by means of a tapered pin. This I believe puts this sculptures creation in the same time period as Rodin and the Foundry, Alexis Rudier. Both names are stamped into the base of this sculpture. If this is not one of Rodin's pieces was  it possibly  created by a student.
Thank you for any information that you can provide.
