if it's under glass it's most likely a print than a painting. Prints will often have publishing details along the bottom margin, which is sometimes hidden by the matting. Fractional numbers such as " 50/150" would indicate a print was part of a limited edition, those without a edition marking and a Copyrite symbol or marking are generally mass produced examples.
