Description

Free Westinhouse Electric Sewing Machine in wood cabinet. Machine itself feels like its made of cast-iron, both in the weight, and in the texture of the surface of the machine. Wood cabinet has a top that lifts away and lays straight to make a table-like  surface, then you lift a wooden flap, lift the machine out, put the wooden flap back down and the machine then sets on the edge of the wooden flap making the work area. The hinges, and fittings on the cabinet are brass, the wood heavy, and hard. sitting in front of the cabinet as if you were going to sew , on the right hand side, under the front of the cabinet is a metal lever that is on a hinge. pulling the lever towards you, it becomes a control switch you control with your knee, like the foot pedal in some old machines. the model # is 8-Fit has a small brass plaque with model number, it also says "115v   50w   AC or DC. On the very bottom of the machine is a serial number which was so worn off i had to use a magnifying glass and flashlight, so one number i'm not sure of.It's either an 8 or a 3. the SN is 85104382 or 85104882
