History
My grandmother purchased this item in the late 1940s or early 1950s. She said she purchased it from actress Paulette Goddard. There is no documentation to support this but the actress is known to have had an antique shop in southern California around this time. My grandmother had it reupholstered when she purchased it in a fabric reminiscent of the original. It has been in the family ever since..
