French Provincial 9 drawer dresser in original condition

By babyjane043, 17 September, 2014
Description

I'm unsure of the age of this, but this beautiful French Provincial dresser seems to be in its original condition.  It's off-white/cream colored with faint gold accents in the carved out portions.  There are many scrapes and belmishes to the top of this, and only a few scapes on the front face, but overall, this is in nice original condition.  The bottom middle drawer is missing the track, but the rest of the interior is in excllent condition.  The joints on this are dovetailed.

The back is stamped with the following  "7272 Dr. Base Maple. Golden BIsque-32"

If anyone can help determine it's age and/or value, I'd be very grateful!

Thank you!!  :)

Re: French Provincial 9 drawer dresser in original condition

Most of these painted French Provincial sets date from the late 1950's through 60's, the style seems to get revived about every thirty years. The style is not currently in demand, at auction we see dressers like this sell in the $80.00-$150.00 range.
