Gold Enamel Heart-Shaped Pin

This is a heart-shaped pin with a painted enamel pansy in the center. Tiny pearls are inlaid in 14K gold around the edge, with a diamond (approx .15 carats?) in the center of the pansy. The back is 14K gold. It has a small locking clasp. The pin appears to me to be in excellent condition; I have never worn it but have kept it in a velvet case. Unfortunately, I don't have any information about its history or where it was purchased, though I have been told that it was expensive.
