This set was manufactured from 1959-1991. I.S. is International Silver. A whole set with case is selling for $150.00 online in a couple of places. 1847 is not the manufacture date. That is the year date the brothers thought they had perfected the electroplating process. 1847 is on all of their electroplated silverware and stainless.
